Job summary

DESRI Project Management Services, L.L.C. in Houston, TX seeks a Physical Intern for Summer 2027. The 10-week internship spans June–August and exposes students to asset management, construction, engineering, development, preconstruction, project management, and project delivery within renewable energy projects.

Interns work with mentors on solar, battery storage, and wind assets, collaborating across DESRI, and presenting their work at summer’s end.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for analytical, curious students with interest in renewable energy, infra, engineering, construction, project development, asset management, or related fields.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication are essential.
• Record of academic and/or professional achievement is required.
• Ability to collaborate in small cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities is vital.
• Undergraduate or graduate students in relevant majors are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Asset Management: support operational and commercial management of the portfolio including performance analysis and coordination with stakeholders.
• Construction: assist on project schedules, budgets, field activities, contractors, and project risks.
• Engineering: help with analyses across electrical, civil, geotechnical, or related scopes and evaluate designs as assets progress.
• Development: assist evaluating commercial, technical, permitting, interconnection, land, and environmental considerations.
• Preconstruction: evaluate constructability, cost, schedule, and contracting strategies.
• Project Management: support cross-functional planning and execution across lifecycle stages.
• Project Delivery: coordinate across technical, commercial, legal, financial, and external workstreams to advance projects.
