Job summary

DESRI seeks talented, intellectually curious students for its Summer 2027 internship program, a 10-week experience from June through August. The Physical Team Internship spans Asset Management, Construction, Engineering, Development, Preconstruction, Project Management, and Project Delivery, offering exposure to the lifecycle of renewable energy assets across solar, storage, and wind.

Interns work with mentors across DESRI, participate in learning events, visit an operating renewable energy

Qualifications

• Analytical, with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Record of academic or professional achievement.
• Ability to collaborate in cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Pursuing engineering, technical, quantitative, business, finance, environmental, or related degrees.
• Interest in renewable energy project development and operations.
• Final-year students preferred for internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist Asset Management with performance analysis and contract administration.
• Support construction project schedules, budgets, and contractor coordination.
• Aid engineering analyses across electrical, civil, and structural scopes.
• Help evaluate development considerations including permitting and interconnection.
• Assist preconstruction evaluating constructability and costs.
• Support project management across lifecycle and cross-functional planning.
• Coordinate across project delivery with technical, legal, financial stakeholders.
