Job summary

Meta’s Global Energy Team seeks an experienced energy professional to manage renewable energy contracts and carbon reduction agreements across construction, development, and operations. You will oversee contract compliance, negotiations support, and data management while monitoring project performance and budget variances.

You will coordinate with legal, finance, accounting and procurement teams to enforce terms, track RECs, and ensure timely amendments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, energy or environmental science, paralegal studies or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in energy contract management, energy project development, or energy operations with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or energy-intensive industrial or consumer company.
• Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects and understanding performance metrics.
• Experience drafting official correspondence between counterparties and experience developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce, AI tooling.
• Experience in building cross-functional relationships and managing 3rd Party Vendors.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.

Responsibilities

• Own as the ongoing owner for all operational renewable energy contract requirements.
• Create, maintain, update and track documents and data related to renewable energy projects.
• Track counterparty compliance with contract deliverables.
• Review invoicing and reporting for renewable energy project contracts, ensuring RECs, costs and performance align with terms.
• Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure, and other issues.
• Manage the approval and signature process for contract documents after execution.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, accounting, purchasing, and other stakeholders to surface and resolve issues.
• Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations.
