Job summary

Dragonfruit is seeking a YouTube Creative Director who will lead the creative direction for multiple client accounts, developing viral-educational long-form videos and maintaining close 1:1 partnerships with high-profile clients.

You will coordinate with producers, editors, and designers, owning the strategic vision, art direction, and scripting while defending creative choices with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a YouTube Creative Director, YouTube Strategist, YouTube Producer/Manager or similar role with documented results. You must be able to point to specific channels you personally grew and cite subscriber/view changes.
• Taste and strategy: originate concepts with growth instincts and defend them against client feedback.
• Deep YouTube knowledge: meta cultures, trends, creators across niches, mastery of viral formats, titles, thumbnails, scripts, outlines, retention optimization, and analytics.
• Own the creative relationship with the client: articulate concepts, coach clients, hold them accountable, translate feedback clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the creative for 3–5 client accounts, delivering 12–20 long-form videos per month across accounts.
• Lead and direct editors, designers, and scriptwriters; provide timely feedback.
• Develop and pitch concepts; coach clients on best practices; translate feedback between client and creative team.
• Analyze video performance and adjust packaging, retention, and optimization strategies.
