Job summary

Qlay, the Spy Ninjas’ video production partner, seeks a dynamic Creative Director to elevate our YouTube and social content. You will lead a team of creatives, translate ideas into engaging episodes, and guide content from concept to upload with a focus on storytelling and data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate has a strong YouTube background, a track record of growing channels, and the ability to manage multiple formats while maintaining creative integrity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Digital Media.
• 5+ years as a YouTube-focused Creative Director/Producer/Lead (end-to-end ownership).
• Experience growing large YouTube channels.
• Experience managing a team of creatives; conducting reviews and feedback.
• On-set leadership and post-production management in fast-paced environments.
• Passion for storytelling, experimentation, and solving creative challenges.
• Comfortable directing shoots and managing creators with clarity and confidence.
• Strong writing abilities, editorial instincts, and data-informed decisions.
• Hands-on experience with YouTube analytics and social platform algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day YouTube creative strategy and oversight across the Qlay network.
• Develop data-informed video concepts and series to grow views, subscribers, and revenue.
• Report to Qlay’s President and collaborate with Creators on storytelling and formats.
• Lead a team of writers, directors, camera operators, and editors.
• Guide visual storytelling with attention to detail and story lore.
• Analyze CTR, retention, thumbnails, and titles; adjust creatives accordingly.
• Collaborate across teams to align content with business and product goals.
• Stay ahead of trends and platform dynamics to refine success.
• Partner with production to lead film days and meet post-production timelines.
• Serve as the creative lead in post: shaping narrative, pacing, and visual identity.
