Dragonfruit is hiring a YouTube Scriptwriter to craft long-form and short-form scripts that educate, entertain, and persuade. You will work with world-class creators and top founders, shaping ideas into high-performing videos with structure, hooks, and emotional momentum.

We value writers who can imitate a client’s voice, apply direct-response concepts, and stay fluent in YouTube culture. This is a fully remote, global position with strong emphasis on clarity and substance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a YouTube Scriptwriter or similar role with verifiable results.
• Experience writing long-form and short-form YouTube scripts led by clarity and structure.
• Strong ability to persuade and educate through storytelling at scale.
• Familiarity with VSL, funnel concepts, and non-ad-heavy YouTube copy.
• Deep understanding of YouTube formats, trends, analytics, and audience psychology.
• Ability to imitate a client’s voice and write in their authentic style.
• Exceptional written English with attention to tone and readability.

Responsibilities

• Write world-class YouTube scripts using hooks and narrative arcs for retention.
• Apply direct-response thinking to structure ideas for momentum and action.
• Turn complex ideas into compelling, watchable stories that build trust.
• Collaborate with editors to ensure narrative aligns with persuasive intent.
• Edit for clarity, pacing, and emotional resonance, trimming unnecessary content.
