Placements24 is seeking a Youth Development Officer for a fully remote role targeting youth across South Africa. You will design, implement, and oversee skills training modules to improve employability and personal growth, coordinating with online educators and community partners.

The role emphasizes remote program management, LMS proficiency, and stakeholder engagement to deliver accessible, impactful training across Welkom and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field.
• 3+ years in youth development, education, or program management, with online components preferred.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging training programs.
• Strong understanding of youth challenges and opportunities in SA.
• Proficient with LMS and digital collaboration tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and curate curriculum content for youth skills training programs (digital literacy, vocational, soft skills).
• Oversee online delivery of training programs and ensure participant engagement.
• Coordinate with remote facilitators and trainers to deliver content.
• Monitor progress, provide support, and facilitate online discussions and feedback sessions.
• Build relationships with community organizations and schools for outreach and recruitment.
