Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field.

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking non-profit organization committed to empowering underprivileged youth, is seeking a dynamic and proactive Youth Development Officer to manage and expand its skills training programs. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and curate curriculum content for youth skills training programs, focusing on areas like digital literacy, vocational skills, and soft skills.
• Manage the online delivery of training programs, ensuring smooth operation and participant engagement.
• Coordinate with remote facilitators and trainers to deliver high-quality educational content.
• Monitor participant progress, provide support, and facilitate online discussions and feedback sessions.
• Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations and schools for program recruitment and outreach.
• Analyze program data to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and report on outcomes.
• Assist in developing partnerships with potential employers for internship and job placement opportunities for program graduates.
• Manage program budgets and resources efficiently in a remote setting.
• Stay abreast of trends and best practices in youth development and online learning.
• Organize virtual career fairs and networking events for participants.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in youth development, education, or program management, preferably with online components.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging training programs.
• Excellent understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing youth in South Africa.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks remotely.
• Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital collaboration tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at communicating effectively in a virtual environment.
• Experience in partnership building and stakeholder engagement.
• A proactive approach and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
