Engage PEO in the United States (remote) is seeking a Workers' Compensation Underwriter to evaluate, price, and service workers' compensation policies, ensuring profitability and compliance with underwriting standards. You will analyze submissions, determine placement, maintain broker relationships, and monitor program performance, collaborating with claims and loss control as needed.

This full-time, exempt role requires a college degree and 5+ years of Workers' Compensation underwriting, with

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years Underwriting Workers' Compensation experience.
• Knowledge of PRISM, Isolve, or Client Space a plus.
• Experience utilizing SharePoint for shared documentation access.
• Gradient pricing tool, a plus.
• Excel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new business submissions and all policy documentation to determine hazards and exposures.
• Ensure documentation contains accurate information for underwriting, including class codes and payroll.
• Review submission information to provide recommendations on proper program placement and pricing.
• Ensure all premium, collateral, and expenses are paid for every bound policy.
• Assist with underwriting audits and monitoring activities related to accounts.
• Manage and report on program performance for growth and profitability.
• Review risks and collaborate with claims and loss control for intervention when necessary.
• Analyze submissions to determine placement requirements for Master, Brokered, or Xcomp placements.
• Add new submissions timely to Log and Database with proper status codes and dates.
• Maintain prospect folders with emod, Proof of Coverage, website, address, and OSHA info.
