WAHVE, a remote-first insurer support company, seeks an experienced Underwriter – Workers Compensation to join our virtual team. You’ll apply deep insurance knowledge from home, handling medium to complex workers’ comp risks and maintaining high standards of underwriting profitability.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience.
• 10 most recent years of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Workers Compensation business for medium to complex risks.
• Make critical underwriting decisions on risk acceptability, coverage alternatives, and pricing.
• Stay up to date on industry trends to ensure policies are current and competitive.
• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Maintain accurate file documentation in accordance with company guidelines.
• Achieve acceptable underwriting profit levels within assigned book of business.
• Current HIGH DEMAND for experience with California state Workers Compensation market.
