Job summary

DecisionHR is seeking a Workers' Compensation Underwriter to evaluate risk for PEO client accounts and make underwriting decisions. You will ensure client classifications and premiums are maintained in line with insurer guidelines and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will collaborate with Sales, field service, and internal departments to gather necessary information, educate teams on underwriting standards, and stay current on state and federal WC regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of Property and Casualty insurance experience, with underwriting exposure.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation classification systems and state/federal regs.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review PEO sales proposals to evaluate Workers' Compensation risk and make accept/decline recommendations.
• Partner with Sales and field service to gather complete information for underwriting decisions.
• Rate submissions for loss reserve, WC premium, admin cost, and SUTA cost to meet profitability targets.
• Document underwriting decisions in Salesforce with supporting commentary.
