Job summary

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Specialist II for the Northeast region with a hybrid setup in Parsippany or Boston, or a fully remote option for eligible states. You will manage multi-party workers’ compensation claims, apply coverage and liability analysis, and drive timely resolutions with a customer-centric focus.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or Zurich training credentials with 3+ years in claims, plus adjuster licenses and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3+ years in Claims/Insurance
• Zurich certifications or training programs preferred
• Must obtain/maintain required adjuster licenses
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets and products

Responsibilities

• Document claims files and update data in accordance with best practices
• Assess liability and coverage to determine policy applicability
• Develop case strategy and evaluation for timely claim resolution
• Establish reserves within authority limits and review claims throughout cycle
• Negotiate settlements within authority and using available resources
• Maintain customer service and follow communication protocols
• Refer to subrogation/fraud teams when applicable
• Provide risk insights and trends to the business unit
