Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage state act WC claims from start to finish, including determining compensability, coverage verification, disability and medical benefits administration, and settlement negotiations.

The role supports remote work in CST/EST zones, with a focus on collaboration with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to ensure accurate, timely claim resolution and compliance with state requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience handling CT, DE, MD, CA, NJ, PA, RI WC claims and multi-state license.
• Experience with WC claims license in CT/DE/MD/CA/NJ/PA/RI preferred.
• High school education required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic claim systems.
• Solid knowledge of workers’ compensation laws.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of state act workers’ compensation claims.
• Determine coverage and exposure and maintain claim notes.
• Negotiate settlements and coordinate disability and medical benefits.
• Communicate with claimants, employers and medical providers.
• Maintain required claim data and reports to state entities.
• Collaborate with legal counsel, underwriting, and risk management.
