Job summary

Progressive Leasing seeks a Payroll and People Operations Analyst to manage multi-state payroll in Workday, ensure accuracy, and drive payroll process improvements. You will collaborate with HR and Total Rewards and leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency.

The role emphasizes timely tax deposits, audits, and year-end activities, with remote work options across the US in Mountain or Central time zones. A CPP is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (required); equity payroll is a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of ADP SmartCompliance and payroll tax requirements, including IRS deposit rules.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tight, non-negotiable deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience using AI tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing & Execution: Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule in Workday.
• Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor equity/stock transaction settlement dates and ensure timely tax deposits.
• Audit payroll results for accuracy and compliance.
• Support year-end activities such as W-2 processing and ACA reporting.
• Document and standardize payroll processes to reduce single points of failure.
