Job summary

Accion Labs is seeking a Workday HRIS Functional Consultant with payroll experience for a remote, contract role. The candidate will support a large HRIS transformation, focusing on Payroll, Learning, and Talent modules, and will collaborate with HR and payroll stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on Workday administration, configuration, testing, and data validation. W2 or corp-to-corp options, 12+ month duration, and salary range $150k-$160k with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HRIS experience with a focus on Workday.
• Multiple end-to-end Workday implementations.
• Strong Workday configuration and admin skills.
• Experience in Payroll, Learning, Talent Management, or Talent Acquisition.
• Proven testing experience (UAT, regression, integration).
• Excellent communication and independent contribution.

Responsibilities

• Support Workday implementation, testing, configuration, and post-deployment activities.
• Provide hands‑on administration and functional support for Workday modules.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and configure solutions.
• Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and issue tracking.
• Configure and maintain Workday business processes, reports, and security.
• Troubleshoot functional and system issues and recommend scalable solutions.
• Assist with data validation, integrations testing, and production readiness activities.
• Drive user adoption and support change management initiatives.
• Create and maintain functional documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
