Job summary

Highbrow Technology Inc. is seeking a Workday Payroll Subject Matter Expert to own payroll design and configuration governance and support payroll transformation activities.

The role includes payroll-to-benefits alignment, testing oversight, vendor coordination, and support for payroll frequency conversion and third-party payroll processing. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of Workday Payroll experience, experience with large-scale implementations, and a track record of leading end-to-end

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale Workday Payroll implementations.
• Experience leading end-to-end payroll transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll design and configuration decisions within Workday.
• Redesign pay groups, payroll calendars, earnings, deductions, and payroll-related configurations.
• Validate payroll data mappings between Workday and external payroll systems.
• Ensure correct handling of earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
• Govern vendor deliverables and validate payroll solution designs.
• Lead payroll, benefits, and general ledger testing activities.
• Manage parallel payroll comparisons and payroll reconciliation.
• Support cutover planning, conversion validation, and go-live readiness.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Benefits, Compensation, and downstream application teams.
• Support compliance, audit readiness, and payroll controls.

• Experience with payroll frequency conversions.
• Strong reconciliation and audit skills.
• Experience with payroll general ledger processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Workday Payroll experience.
• Experience with large-scale Workday Payroll implementations.
• Experience leading end-to-end payroll transformation initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, or Performance.
• Experience supporting semi-monthly to biweekly payroll conversion.
• Workday Payroll certification.
