Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Workday Architect to lead the design, scalability, and long-term strategy of our Workday ecosystem, reporting to the Sr. Director of Workforce Systems & Payroll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of Workday experience, including at least 3 years in an architect or lead technical design capacity.
• Deep expertise across multiple Workday modules (HCM required; Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking and/or Projects strongly preferred).
• Proven experience with Workday integration tools (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, Workday web services).
• Strong understanding of Workday security groups, business process configuration, and calculated fields.
• Experience leading full lifecycle implementations or major tenant transformations.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern the overall Workday architecture, including business process frameworks, security model, tenant configuration, and integration landscape.
• Lead complex projects such as module implementations, mergers/acquisitions integrations, and major upgrades or tenant consolidations.
• Own the integration strategy between Workday and third-party systems (payroll providers, benefits carriers, time tracking, finance) using EIBs, Studio, Core Connectors, and/or Workday web services.
• Establish and enforce configuration standards, naming conventions, and governance practices to maintain a scalable tenant.
• Partner with the Workforce Systems leader to translate business strategy into system roadmaps.
• Conduct architectural reviews of proposed configuration changes to assess downstream impact.
• Lead technical evaluation of new Workday releases and advise on feature adoption.
• Mentor Workday Administrators and analysts; act as final escalation for complex break/fix issues.
• Manage relationships with Workday Professional Services, AMS vendors, and implementation partners as needed.
• Ensure data integrity, security compliance, and audit readiness across the tenant.
