Stevens Institute of Technology’s Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC) seeks a versatile communications professional to join its team in Hoboken, NJ. The role blends WordPress content creation, data analytics, and event coordination to elevate the center’s online presence and outreach.

You will manage website updates, analyze Google Analytics data, run Zoom events, and collaborate with a national, diverse team while occasionally traveling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience.
• Expertise in WordPress content creation and editing.
• Basic graphic design experience with Photoshop and Canva.
• Ability to analyze website data using Google Analytics.
• Experience running virtual events on Zoom.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong communication and an understanding of how communication integrates with and evolves through technology.
• Excellent accuracy in handling names, titles, and technical terms.
• Comfortable interacting with a mosaic of skill sets and navigating a national team.
• Flexibility to work remotely or commute to the SERC office in Hoboken, NJ (remote preferred).
• Availability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Creating and editing WordPress pages on the SERC website.
• Uploading reports and updating information on the SERC research database.
• Accessing, organizing, analyzing, and presenting website data from Google Analytics.
• Analyzing data to contribute ideas and strategies related to communication integration and technology evolution.
• Using AI tools as a guide to save time on basic tasks while maintaining human judgement and oversight.
• Performing accuracy checks for names, titles, technical terms, and other details.
• Responding quickly to new priority directives on a project basis.
• Running virtual events on Zoom.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services.
• Collaborating with a diverse team, often through virtual interactions.
• Traveling periodically for SERC events in the Washington, DC area or other locales.
