Bcore in Herndon, VA is seeking a Windows Automation & Patching Engineer to support patch deployment, automation, and hybrid/cloud patching across domains and enclaves. The role requires TS/SCI with poly and deep expertise in PowerShell, SCCM/ConfigMgr, and cloud patching tools.

Advanced PowerShell scripting required.

Responsibilities

Manage and automate patch deployment and configuration across domains and enclaves (on-prem and cloud).
Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, APIs, or orchestration frameworks.
Support hybrid and cloud patching with Azure Update Management, AWS SSM, SCCM/ConfigMgr.
Engineer improvements to patching infrastructure and design new automated update/hotfix system.
Perform automation-driven server configuration, baseline enforcement, compliance reporting, and STIG/vulnerability remediation.
Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for Windows systems.
Migrate/refactor/modernize traditional servers for cloud compatibility and virtualization.
Monitor performance, preempt issues, and implement automated remediation.
Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specs and perform integration/verification.
Prepare technical docs and workflows for customers and team.
Work independently in fast-paced environment with strong communication.
Deliver strong customer service and collaborate with technical teams.
