Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician in Texas to maintain turbine operations, safety, and quality on site with local travel within the hub. You will collaborate with Site Lead and Manager to meet contract requirements and deadlines, and support warranty repairs as needed.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, documenting work digitally, and adhering to GE safety standards. A valid driver’s license and wind industry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year(s) experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy, or 2 years electrical work experience.
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines.
• Assist in site operations with minimal supervision and safety compliance.
• Perform diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Document all work using service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.
