Job summary

Blue Shield of California is looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to members via phone. You will resolve inquiries related to eligibility, benefits, and more while providing guidance and advocating for members’ needs.

This hybrid virtual role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must reside in California and have at least 3 years of relevant experience. There will be mandatory remote training to ensure you are well-prepared to help our valued customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service environment with at least 3 years prior relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a virtual setting with a good internet connection.
• Must be patient and a good listener.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incoming calls related to member eligibility, benefits, and provider information.
• Educate members on benefit coverage and assist with claims.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
