Job summary

Virginia Transformer is seeking a Utility Sales Leader to build, lead, and scale our Utility business across North America. This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven sales builder—someone who thrives in the field, leads from the front, and knows how to turn strategy into bookings.

This leader will own the Utility sales motion end to end: hunting new opportunities, expanding key utility accounts, and leading a team of high-energy road warriors who live in front of customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
• MBA a plus.
• 8+ years of sales experience in utility, electrical equipment, power infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience leading field-based sales teams and selling complex, engineered products into utility environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the Utility business segment through bookings, revenue, and margin growth.
• Lead field-based sales professionals focused on hunting, expanding, and defending utility accounts.
• Set territory strategy, account plans, and sales targets aligned with growth objectives.
• Partner with Engineering, Pricing, Operations, and Production to align commitments with capacity and execution.
• Own pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and deal execution; report market trends to exec leadership.
