Job summary

Davies North America seeks a Remote Workers' Compensation Excess/SDF Claims Specialist to manage excess reports and SDF claims for clients in Florida. You will coordinate with clients, adjusters, and excess carriers to ensure timely reporting and compliance with state regulations.

The role requires 1–2 years in WC claims with an active FL adjuster license, strong communication, and organizational skills. Compensation ranges from $45,000 to $60,000 yearly, with a full benefits package and remote

• 1–2 years of claims-handling experience in Florida workers' compensation law.
• Active adjuster license valid for Florida.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and agents to ensure excess policies and declarations are available for each year with open claims.
• Notify clients' excess carriers of TPA services and reporting procedures.
• Identify retention levels and special reporting requirements for excess policies.
• Provide required reporting to excess carriers including initial notices, follow-ups, and final reports.
• Maintain communication with claims teams to ensure reports are timely and compliant.
• Evaluate files for SDF potential and pursue reimbursement per state rules.
• Contact employers, attorneys, field reps, and doctors promptly.
• Notify SDTF of potential settlements and advise on procedures.
• Ensure consistent documentation and timely compliance of state reporting.
• Maintain diary entries and keep files current per company standards.
• Correspond with excess carriers and SDTF on excess/SDF issues.
• Update SDF and excess status reports to clients/carriers quarterly or as specified.
• Submit initial and annual reimbursement requests to SDTF.
• Monitor diaries and complete SI-19 forms for timely filing with FLDFS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
