Job summary

Ivy Rehab in New York is seeking a Workers Compensation Authorization & Verification Specialist to ensure timely and accurate authorizations, supporting faster reimbursement and better patient access. You will collaborate with front desk teams and external vendors to optimize workflows and minimize revenue loss.

The role emphasizes remote work with standard clinic coordination, detailed knowledge of WC payer rules, and cross-functional teamwork to enhance patient and provider experiences.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in pre-auth verification or authorization processes preferred.
• Experience with Workers Compensation insurance in therapy preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Submit authorization requests timely within EMR following payer guidelines.
• Specialize in Workers Compensation Financial Class and state payer specifics.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and WCCS for documentation for submission.
• Provide feedback to front desk/WCCS on opportunities in authorization timelines.
• Respond to authorization queries from Ivy teammates and payers.
• Address denials and provide denial prevention feedback.
• Complete verifications by contacting insurers for benefits and authorization information.
• Obtain authorizations prior to and during treatment for WC patients.
• Train new A&V teammates and provide ongoing education.
• Maintain professional relationships with teammates and vendors to standardize workflows.
