Job summary

Ivy Health Inc is seeking a remote Workers Compensation Authorization and Verification Specialist to support timely authorizations and accurate verifications. You will work with the WC team and front desk, improving reimbursement workflows and patient satisfaction across Ivy Health.

Responsibilities include submitting requests in EMR, navigating state/payer guidelines, and coordinating with clinics to ensure documentation is complete. Remote role, with standard business hours EST.

Qualifications

• Experience with Workers Compensation insurance in the therapy arena preferred.
• 2–3 years in pre-auth verification; experience with obtaining authorizations, referral coordination and patient services preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to multi-task and meet timelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Submit authorization requests timely within EMR following payer and state guidelines.
• Specialize in Workers Compensation Financial Class and state/payer specifics.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and WCCS to ensure proper documentation for submission.
• Provide feedback to front desk/WCCS on authorization timelines and processes.
• Answer authorization/verification queries from teammates and payers.
• Address denials promptly and help reduce denial risk.
• Verify outpatient therapy benefits, eligibility, and authorization info for same-day walks-ins.
• Obtain authorizations before and during treatment for WC patients.
• Assist with training for new A&V teammates and ongoing education.
