Job summary

Grundfos is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide expert technical guidance on product selection, system design, and optimization for high‑purity water solutions. You will bridge customer needs with Grundfos technology, supporting sales and project teams worldwide.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in applications engineering or related fields, strong communication skills, and a background in water treatment processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
• Strong understanding of high‑purity water treatment processes and sanitary design principles.
• Proficiency with engineering selection and sizing tools; ability to read drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer inquiries to define technical and commercial scope.
• Develop conceptual system designs and preliminary calculations for sizing and estimating.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives.
• Evaluate equipment options for technical suitability, availability, and lead times.
• Explore innovative approaches to solve customer application challenges and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy.
• Participate in customer meetings to provide technical support alongside Sales.
• Maintain costing data to support library development.
• Obtain supplier quotations and coordinate with Purchasing for costs and lead times.
• Review POs for alignment with scope and budget.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial turnover packages to Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Lead technical turnover meetings to confirm supply scope with downstream teams.
