Job summary

Grundfos is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide expert technical guidance on product selection, system design, and optimization for high-purity water solutions. You will support customers from concept through turnover, collaborating with Sales and Project teams to ensure value and reliability.

The role emphasizes strong communication, precise engineering calculations, and knowledge of water-treatment processes to deliver energy-efficient, compliant solutions across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
• Strong understanding of high-purity water treatment processes, system hydraulics, sanitary design principles, and high-purity water-quality requirements.
• Proficiency with engineering selection and sizing tools and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer inquiries, specs, and operating requirements to define project scope for high-purity water solutions.
• Develop conceptual system designs and perform preliminary engineering calculations for sizing and estimating.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives to optimize performance and cost.
• Research and evaluate equipment options based on technical fit, availability, and pricing.
• Partner with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy with customer needs.
• Lead technical reviews and turnover meetings with project teams.
