Job summary

Grundfos is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide expert technical guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water solutions. You will collaborate with Sales to align technical and commercial strategies and support customer meetings with engineering insights.

Ideal candidates bring a strong customer-facing communication style, a background in water treatment processes, and experience in preparing cost estimates and design calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related discipline required.
• 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
• Strong understanding of high-purity water treatment processes, system hydraulics, and sanitary design principles.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer inquiries to define technical and commercial scope of proposed high-purity water treatment solutions.
• Develop conceptual system designs and perform preliminary calculations for equipment sizing and estimating.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered options that optimize system performance and cost.
• Research equipment options based on technical suitability, availability, lead time, and pricing.
• Lead technical review and turnover meetings to communicate project requirements to downstream teams.
