Job summary

American Water is seeking a Water Utility Field Technician for Gatlinburg, TN area. This remote-position eligible role will require travel to various service locations within the Gatlinburg area and surrounding districts.

You will lead field crews, perform installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution infrastructure, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes field leadership, technical proficiency, and strong customer service to support reliable water

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school coursework in industrial maintenance preferred.
• 8+ years’ progressive mechanical/industrial maintenance experience in water/wastewater.
• Experience in water and/or wastewater environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and coordinate daily field technician activities.
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution infrastructure.
• Train, coach, and provide technical guidance to field staff.
