Job summary

Allonnia seeks a remote Field Technician to join our U.S. operations in the Virginia area. The role travels to client sites to commission, repair, and maintain SAFF® units, requiring hands-on mechanical aptitude and a readiness to travel up to 75% across the US.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on technician experience, reading technical drawings, and knowledge of safety regulations. A relevant degree or trade cert is preferred; HAZWOPER certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on technician experience.
• Associate degree in engineering technology or trade certification.
• Experience with commissioning, repair and maintenance of electromechanical equipment in the field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&ID.
• Eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Based in the US.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Commission units on delivery to client sites.
• Perform comprehensive maintenance on field units.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and replace parts as needed.
• Request plant recall and replacement if field repairs prove impossible.
• Test and monitor all active systems for proper performance.
• Decant and dispose of hazardous waste per safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform site inspections.
• Use forklift to load/unload spare parts.
• Supervise contractors engaged by the company.
• Prepare and submit reports on onsite activities and hours.
• Assist with technical planning for commissioning, repair, and maintenance projects.
