Job summary

CET is seeking a Waste Reduction Consultant to help businesses improve recycling, reuse, food recovery, and composting programs. The role is full-time, remote, and field-based with travel across the New England service area, up to four days per week, and potential overnight travel.

Candidates must reside in the assigned territory (Worcester/Boston area within 30 miles) and be able to travel up to 80% of the time.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of waste diversion experience, including 1-3 years of commercial experience.
Experience with selling services preferred, with the ability to close on projects.
Experience in education, educational materials, or educational services preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory up to 80% of the time.
Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments of customer locations virtually and/or in person.
Develop customized customer recommendations and present to customers persuasively.
Regularly consult with and assist a portfolio of customers in implementing recommendations.
Utilize behavior change strategies to achieve high success in implementations.
Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners in the waste diversion marketplace.
