Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our field-based team in the Haverhill, MA area, supporting the TTF facility, transfer stations, and landfill. The role emphasizes hands-on environmental programs, regulatory reporting, and coordination with operations and regulators.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and multiple years of on-site compliance experience, with strong data skills and proficiency in MS Office. Will travel 10% to satellite sites in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, biology, or related field.
• At least three years of on-site environmental compliance experience in heavy industry, energy, or waste-to-energy facilities.
• Direct involvement with permits, regulatory reports, inspections, or corrective actions.
• Experience with environmental testing, monitoring, data review, and reporting across multiple programs.
• Ability to work with operations, maintenance, consultants, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance programs for air emissions, CEMS, ash, solid waste, stormwater, wastewater and hazardous waste.
• Participate in facility permit applications, renewals, modifications, and supporting documentation.
• Review testing, monitoring data and regulatory reports to ensure accuracy and timely submittals.
• Conduct environmental walkdowns at facilities and coordinate corrective actions with operations.
• Support regulatory inspections readiness and communicate technical matters clearly to teams and regulators.
