Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support a large waste-to-energy facility in the Haverhill area. The role covers air, water, ash, and hazardous waste programs across a main facility and satellite sites, reporting to the Haverhill Facility Manager.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of on-site compliance experience in heavy industry, with strong data handling, documentation, and regulator liaison skills. Occasional travel to Lynn and Danvers may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years on-site environmental compliance in heavy industry, energy, or waste-to-energy.
• Experience with permits, renewals, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support air, water, ash, solid waste, stormwater, wastewater, and hazardous waste compliance programs.
• Assist with facility permit applications, renewals, and modifications with supporting docs.
• Review testing, monitoring data, and regulatory submittals for accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct environmental walkdowns at facilities and coordinate corrective actions to closure.
• Coordinate testing with consultants, labs, and contractors; monitor reporting deadlines.
