Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Washington State Licensed HIM Coder to work remotely on a full-time basis. You will code hospital, ambulatory surgical center, and clinic services using ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards and internal policies.

The role requires a vocational certificate in coding, RHIT or equivalent certification, strong knowledge of coding guidelines, and proficiency with Excel and 10-key data entry.

Qualifications

• Completion of a vocational school or certificate program in medical terminology, anatomy, and coding.
• Certification as a Professional Coder, Registered Health Information Technician, or equivalent coding certification.
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines and medical billing compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Windows environment, including Excel and 10-key data entry.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Code a variety of medical services by assigning appropriate codes using encoding software and coding books.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity standards while tracking and reporting coding activities as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance team communication and coding quality.
