Job summary

Oliver James Group is partnering with a leading insurer to recruit an AVP of Worker’s Compensation Claims. The role is fully remote in the United States and reports to the executive leadership. You will manage 4–5 Claims Managers and a staff of about 35, driving strategy and change while serving as the senior sign-off for major loss claims.

The position offers up to $195,000 base salary plus a 25% bonus and comprehensive benefits, with a clear path to Vice President, Claims.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading workers' compensation claims teams, including managing other leaders.
• Strong strategic and change management experience.
• Excellent technical knowledge of workers' compensation claims, including large losses and litigated cases.
• Experience managing TPA strategy and key vendor relationships.
• Strong knowledge of worker's compensation policy wording and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead 4–5 Claims Managers and a total team of 35 staff.
• Drive technical and operational strategy for the group.
• Act as the senior sign-off point for major loss claims.
• Provide leadership and direction to foster performance and growth.
