Job summary

Clever Real Estate is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead the engineering organization and set the technical direction for rapid scale. This remote role in the United States focuses on architecture, AI-powered modernization, and high-impact delivery across critical systems.

You will develop engineering leaders, raise the talent bar, and partner with Product and executive teams to shape scalable, reliable software while pushing frontier AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering leadership experience.
• Strong depth in architecture, implementation, debugging, and production systems.
• Experience evolving complex production systems and high-performing teams.
• Good product and business judgment with executive partner collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Clever's engineering organization with a high bar for quality and ownership.
• Define technical direction across core systems and platform modernization.
• Stay technically engaged through architecture reviews and critical implementations.
• Improve workflow from problem framing to production delivery and unblock complex initiatives.
• Raise the talent bar via recruiting, coaching, and performance management.
• Advance AI-enabled engineering and build guardrails for broader AI leverage.
• Collaborate with Product and leadership to simplify complexity and set clear decisions.
