Job summary

Spring Health is seeking a Vice President of US Privacy and Global Data Protection Officer to lead privacy strategy for US and global operations. This remote-friendly role reports to the General Counsel and partners with Security, Product, and Engineering teams to navigate AI, HIPAA, GDPR, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a JD and 12+ years in privacy, healthcare law, and experience scaling privacy programs in a high-growth tech environment. NYC travel is expected.

Qualifications

• JD required and licensed attorney with privacy focus.
• 12+ years of legal experience in data privacy, security, and healthcare law.

Responsibilities

• Serve as US Privacy and Global DPO, providing strategic leadership for privacy and data protection.
• Lead privacy legal team and global operations.
• Develop compliant strategies at intersection of healthcare privacy and AI.
• Architect privacy framework for international expansion and GDPR/hipaa compliance.
• Advise executives on privacy implications of emerging technologies and AI in clinical settings.
• Oversee privacy risk assessments and Privacy by Design in product lifecycle.
• Direct data incident response and regulatory relationships.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success on complex Fortune 100 negotiations.
• Define and maintain external and internal privacy policies.
• Partner with People Team on employee data handling.
