Job summary

STEM From Dance seeks a Vice President of Development to lead philanthropic revenue growth nationwide. Reporting to the CEO, you will build and close six-figure commitments, cultivate major funder relationships, and drive a data-informed fundraising strategy.

You will oversee a pipeline to reach seven-figure opportunities as the organization expands from a single city to a national footprint, with remote work and travel.

Qualifications

• Track record of personally closing gifts at $100,000 and above.
• Typically seven or more years closing major philanthropic or commercial commitments.
• Demonstrated net-new origination with funders.
• Experience across at least two funder types: foundations, corporations, individuals.

Responsibilities

• New funder acquisition and major gifts (40%). Build and manage ~50 priority relationships; close six-figure commitments.
• Major individual giving (20%). Grow the program and portfolio with unrestricted commitments.
• Strategy, positioning, and portfolio performance (20%). Design revenue strategy with the CEO and maintain a forward-looking pipeline.
• Board engagement and external representation (15%). Represent the organization at conferences and funder events.
• Executive leadership (5%). Ensure continuity of funder relationships and participate in executive decisions.
