Job summary

PowerLines seeks a Director of Development to design a scalable fundraising program and lead major donor initiatives. You will work closely with the Founder and Executive Director to expand philanthropy, secure six- and seven-figure gifts, and build donor relationships across foundations, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

The role is remote with up to 30% travel, based in the United States, and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of fundraising experience with six- to seven-figure gifts
• Strong relationships with family offices, foundations, and high-net-worth donors
• Ability to build and lead a development program in an early-stage nonprofit

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a scalable fundraising strategy focused on foundations, family offices, and HNW individuals
• Collaborate with leadership to align fundraising with planning and budgeting
• Develop and manage donor stewardship, cultivation plans, and lifecycle communications
• Prepare compelling grant proposals, budgets, and reports with the founder/ED
• Build systems and processes to scale the development function and onboard staff
