Job summary

WCG Clinical, Inc. seeks a VP, Business Development - Ethical Review (IRB and IBC) to lead revenue growth across IRB/IBC services nationwide. This role oversees a national sales org and partners with senior leaders to align sales initiatives with corporate objectives and data-driven client solutions.

You will mentor a high-performing team, build client relationships in life sciences, and drive account-based marketing while ensuring governance with regulatory expertise. Travel 20-50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of commercial leadership.
• 5+ years in senior commercial role in pharma services/CROs life sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years managing direct reports.
• Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
• Deep understanding of clinical trial ecosystem & regulatory lifecycle.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and financial acumen.
• Experience leading organizational transformation.
• Client-centric mindset; accountable for results.
• Team player in a matrix environment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication & stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop & execute a comprehensive sales strategy across pharma, biotech and CRO markets.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, & Operations to align go-to-market strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
• Monitor sales performance metrics, pipeline health & forecasting.
• Leverage data assets and market intelligence for client solutions.
• Align sales strategy with GM-Ethical Review objectives & revenue targets.
• Owns sales playbooks, KPIs, and quarterly reviews.
• Partner with CMO on account-based marketing plan.
• Represent the company at industry conferences and client meetings.
• Define role levels, salary bands, and incentive structures.
