Job summary

WCG is seeking a visionary Vice President of Business Development for Ethical Review (IRB and IBC) to lead a national sales organization across IRB and IBC services. This senior leader will align sales initiatives with corporate objectives and drive revenue growth by delivering data-driven solutions to life sciences clients.

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the role partners with Marketing, Product, Operations, Legal, Finance, and HR to scale the sales engine.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years of commercial leadership experience.
5+ years in a senior commercial role in pharma/Life sciences.
Minimum of 5 years managing direct reports.
Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
Deep understanding of the clinical trial ecosystem and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy for IRB and IBC services.
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team.
Collaborate with Marketing, Product and Operations on go-to-market strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
Monitor sales performance metrics, pipeline, and forecasting accuracy; take corrective actions.
Leverage data assets and market intelligence to inform client solutions.
Define role levels, salary bands, and incentive structures for the sales org.
Represent the company at conferences and client meetings.
