Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Director of Computer Vision to lead the technical vision and execution across a global CV platform. You will drive architecture, research, and scalable AI infrastructure aligned with product strategy, partnering with teams worldwide to deliver enterprise-grade vision solutions.

You will shape the roadmap, mentor 50–100 engineers, and own MLOps from training to deployment while balancing performance metrics and customer needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical leadership leading computer vision teams and organizations, building enterprise-scale platforms.
• 5+ years hands-on experience building and optimizing computer vision models or as a CV researcher; engaging in architectural discussions.
• Executive technical vision, long-term roadmaps, and metrics (latency, throughput, reliability) for large-scale platforms.
• Ability to lead 50–100 distributed engineers and researchers across geographies.
• Hands-on research with AI performance metrics, real-time video processing, and inference optimization.
• Translate ambiguous customer needs into clear technical roadmaps and architectures.
• Start-up mentality with ownership, action bias, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Domain knowledge in public safety or security software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term research agenda and culture of scientific excellence.
• Provide executive technical leadership, architecture, and roadmap for the CV platform.
• Lead recruitment, mentoring, and scaling of global teams.
• Own end-to-end MLOps, scalable training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Define technical metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
• Evaluate new CV technologies and manage build-vs-buy decisions.
