Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Director of Computer Vision in the United States to lead the technical vision and engineering execution for our platform. The role focuses on building scalable visual intelligence solutions, driving research, and unifying a distributed team across geographies to deliver enterprise-grade CV capabilities.

You will own end-to-end MLOps, define architectural roadmaps, and set engineering metrics to optimize latency, throughput, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading computer vision teams and enterprise-scale platforms.
• Deep expertise in computer vision, ML algorithms, and the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle.
• Experience defining technical vision, roadmaps, and metrics for large-scale platforms.
• Experience managing distributed engineering/research org of 50–100 people.
• Strong analytical and research skills in AI performance metrics and real-time video processing.
• Ability to translate ambiguous product concepts into executable technical roadmaps.
• Start-up mentality with ownership and bias for action.
• Domain knowledge in public safety or security software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term research agenda for fundamental computer vision capabilities.
• Provide executive technical leadership to define architecture, strategy, and roadmap for the Computer Vision Platform.
• Manage and scale a distributed research and engineering organization across geographies.
• Own the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle for central AI infrastructure.
• Define and track technical performance metrics (latency, throughput, reliability).
• Evaluate cutting-edge computer vision research and manage technical risks and build-versus-buy decisions.
