Job summary

Aptive Environmental, LLC is seeking a Sr. VoIP Engineer to own the Genesys Cloud environment, Twilio SIP trunking, and the AI-driven call center strategy. You will design flows, queues, IVR, and reporting, while ensuring high availability and quality across carriers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years running enterprise or contact center telephony.
• Hands-on Genesys Cloud experience: Architect, routing, Data Actions, Platform API.
• Deep SIP/VoIP fundamentals: trunking, codecs, QoS, NAT traversal.
• Experience with Twilio SIP trunking.
• Comfort integrating systems via APIs and webhooks.
• Python/JavaScript/PowerShell; REST/JSON/webhooks/OAuth.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, stability, and roadmap of Genesys Cloud environment.
• Own Twilio SIP trunking capacity, failover, number management, porting, and call quality.
• Drive AI strategy in the call center using Cresta and Genesys AI features.
• Build and maintain integrations between Genesys, Cresta, and in-house CRM via REST APIs and webhooks.
• Set telephony best practices, call-flow standards, DR/failover, capacity planning, monitoring, and alerting.
• Partner with call center leadership to align goals to platform changes; measure impact.
