Job summary

5C Data Centers seeks a strategic Vice President, Project Controls & Cost to govern portfolio schedules and budgets across development through turnover. You will lead a scalable controls organization, define baselines, and ensure credible forecasts that protect capital and customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent senior-level experience.
• 15+ years in project controls, cost engineering, or capital-program leadership.
• Experience on multi-hundred-million-dollar data-center projects or similar infra.
• Hands-on with Primavera P6 and Procore; Power BI is a strong asset.
• Strong CPM scheduling, baselines, ETC/EAC, cash flow and earned value.
• Proven ability to build leaders and scale functions in large programs.

Responsibilities

• Define controls operating model, charter, and governance with escalation thresholds.
• Lead organization build-out and accountability for performance and forecasts.
• Oversee integrated L1–L5 schedules across design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Manage budgets, commitments, accruals and change exposure; provide explanations.
• Establish assurance reviews aligning progress with field conditions and procurement.
• Drive changes, risks, and recovery options with clear owner accountability.
• Partner with Planning, Pre-Construction, Procurement and Finance for readiness gates.
• Embed schedule, cost, and reporting requirements in delivery contracts.
• Own executive reporting on commitment health, variance, and decisions.
• Set data governance and automation roadmap; train teams to reduce admin work.
• Ensure closeout alignment with benchmarks and lessons learned.
