Job summary

5C Data Centers is seeking a Vice President, Pre-Construction to lead the lean pre-construction function for North America’s data center portfolio. This role guides constructability, phasing, permits, utilities, estimates, schedules, procurement and contractor scope before mobilization, while building repeatable standards and governance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of pre-construction or construction leadership experience.
• Experience delivering data center or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong executive communication and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Build pre-construction operating model with scope and gates.
• Prioritize projects against start dates and readiness risk.
• Define construction scope with Engineering, Construction and Procurement.
• Lead documented handoff of scope, budgets, schedules, permits and procurement status.
• Recruit and develop pre-construction leaders.
• Communicate readiness limitations to executives and customer teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes.
