Job summary

5C Data Centers seeks a Vice President, Project Controls & Cost to lead portfolio-wide governance across development and construction. You will build a scalable controls organization, shape schedules and budgets, and deliver credible forecasts for high-stakes data center programs.

Reporting to the CDO and partnering with planning, procurement and finance, you will drive disciplined cost management, integration across L1-L5 schedules, and transparent reporting to executives and boards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent senior-level experience.
• 15+ years in project controls, cost engineering or capital-program leadership.
• Experience on multi-hundred-million-dollar data center or critical infra projects.
• Hands-on with Primavera P6 and Procore; Power BI a strong asset.
• Ability to explain technical and financial tradeoffs to executives.

Responsibilities

• Define controls operating model, governance and escalation for a portfolio.
• Build and lead the project controls organization; scale teams as needed.
• Oversee integrated schedules covering design, procurement and construction.
• Manage budgets, commitments, actuals and accruals with variance explanations.
• Own executive reporting on commitment health, NPV risk and changes.
• Set data governance and automation roadmaps for reporting.
• Drive planning gates and readiness reviews with cross-functional partners.
• Ensure closeout optimization and knowledge capture for future projects.
