Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension examinations for Veterans applying for disability compensation. Responsibilities include medical evaluations, record review, and producing clear medical opinions following VA guidelines. Travel up to 10% and the role may involve charting from home.

Qualifications

Graduate of a nursing program with NP license valid in the United States.
Minimum 1 year experience performing medical disability examinations or related field preferred.
BLS certification required (renewals).

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations including review of medical history and physical examinations.
Review and analyze medical records and diagnostic results for thorough evaluation.
Render objective medical opinions on extent of disability and work capacity.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
Coordinate with QA team and other healthcare professionals for complete evaluations.
