Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to conduct VA Compensation & Pension exams for disability claims. You will review claims, perform focused assessments, review records, and render medical opinions when appropriate. Charting from home may be required; 10% travel to other Loyal Source clinics is expected.

Qualified candidates must hold an active NP license, work independently and with teams, and meet HIPAA/privacy standards. This role offers base pay with monthly incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program; valid NP license.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience in medical disability examinations preferred.
• BLS certification required, renewals included.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge and annual assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Comprehensive Medical Disability Examinations with review of history and 10% travel.
• Review and analyze medical records to inform evaluation.
• Render objective medical opinions on veterans' health issues.
• Work in case management system and communicate with QA.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain information.
• Document examination findings and recommendations per VA guidelines.
• Coordinate with Loyal Source departments to meet deadlines.
• Manage scheduling and availability for C&P exams.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, VA requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality per privacy protocols.
• HIPAA compliance training and annual assessment.
