Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is hiring a Sourcing Sales Executive to lead meetings and events sales with a focus on venue sourcing in North America. The role offers a base salary plus uncapped commissions, medical/dental/vision, 401k and PTO.

You will prospect, build a pipeline, manage venue sourcing, and drive savings for clients. The US base salary range is $39,200 to $72,800, with actual base pay determined by residence, experience, and location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proactive sales experience in hotel, DMC, or venue sourcing sales.
• Flexibility to work remotely and be available as a full-time employee.
• Proven track record in negotiations and closing sales.
• Consistent history of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
• Ability to articulate value propositions and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting for new business and building a sales portfolio.
• Retaining and growing your customer portfolio through relationship management.
• Growing reach within client companies via referrals and presentations.
• Provide consultative guidance on site selection services.
• Negotiate group hotel contracts to protect customer interests and savings.
• Provide contract savings reports as needed.
• Maintain accurate data in CRM and sourcing tools.
• Proactively follow up on leads.
